About the Australian Market:
Recycling (together with clean energy) is one of six priority areas under the Australian Government’s USD1.5 billion Modern Manufacturing Strategy.
Australia’s resource recovery rate is currently at 60%. The National Waste Policy Action Plan target is for 80% resource recovery by 2030.
The Federal Government’s waste (plastics, paper, glass, tires) export ban in 2021 and government initiatives to boost domestic recycling are expected to generate an additional USD2.5 billion in turnover over the next 20 years.
